Safety Policy

General Workplace Safety
- Wear Appropriate PPE At All Times (High-Visibility Vests, Gloves, Safety Footwear, Etc.).
- Immediately Report Unsafe Conditions Or Hazards.
- Remain Alert And Aware Of Your Environment.
- Operate Equipment Only If You Are Trained And Authorized.
Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance
- Perform And Document Pre-Trip, En Route, And Post-Trip Inspections.
- Check Brakes, Tires, Lights, Fluids, Mirrors, And Securement Devices.
- Use Logbooks Or Digital Tools To Record Inspections.
- Report Any Mechanical Issues Immediately.
- Never Operate An Unsafe Vehicle.
Reporting Accidents Or Incidents
- Report All Accidents, Injuries, Or Near Misses Within 24 Hours.
- Submit A Complete Incident Report Form.
- Cooperate Fully With Internal And Legal Investigations.
Emergency Procedures
In Case Of An Accident:- Prioritize Personal Safety And Others Nearby.
- Call 911 If Needed.
- Notify Dispatch As Soon As Possible.
- Document The Scene Safely With Photos And Witness Information.
- Pull Over To A Safe Location.
- Turn On Hazard Lights.
- Contact Dispatch Or Maintenance For Support.
Driver Safety Guidelines
- Maintain A Valid Class 1 Or Applicable Commercial Driver’s License.
- Avoid Driving Under The Influence Of Drugs, Alcohol, Or Impairing Medications.
- Follow All Traffic Laws And Posted Limits.
- Minimize Distractions While Driving (No Texting, Eating, Or Non-Hands-Free Phone Use).
- Conduct A Thorough Pre-Trip Inspection Before Every Haul.
- Use Defensive Driving Techniques And Maintain Safe Distances.
Cargo Securement
- Use Approved Straps, Chains, And Tarps Based On Cargo Type.
- Comply With CVSA And National Safety Code Standards.
- Check Load Weight, Distribution, And Securement Before Departure.
- Re-Inspect Cargo At Every Stop.
Fatigue Management
- Follow All Hours Of Service (HoS) Rules.
- Take Required Breaks And Avoid Overextending Shifts.
- Do Not Drive If Feeling Drowsy Or Unfit.
- Notify Dispatch Immediately If You’re Unable To Continue Safely.
Disciplinary Policy
Safety Violations Are Treated With Seriousness. Disciplinary Action—Including Suspension Or Termination—May Result From:
- Driving Under The Influence Or Recklessly
- Falsifying Logs Or Records
- Ignoring Safety Procedures
- Repeated Offenses Or Serious Violations May Lead To Escalated Consequences
